This Christmas season, Total Print Solutions donated to the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal. This charity supports the great work being done at Bristol Children’s Hospital. I’m telling you about it now, not to paint ourselves in a good light, but to spread awareness about this incredible charity that offers much-needed support to staff, patients and families.

Why we got involved
Every year, we send our clients a Christmas card. Although this could be considered a little ‘old-school’, I genuinely believe our partners deserve a thanks for their support. Creating relationships matters to me, and I believe that by choosing to work with us, people are giving us their trust. So, this annual tradition is our way of showing our appreciation.
However, this year I felt that supporting the Grand Appeal was more important.
As the official Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, it’s committed to saving the lives of sick children and supporting their families. This Christmas, the charity appealed for donations that will go towards a new, first-of-its-kind facility that can provide accommodation and various services for both patients and their parents.
I’ve come to learn just how life-changing this could be for families.
Recently, two of my close friends went through an incredibly difficult time with their daughter Sienna, who is being treated at Bristol Children’s Hospital. The care she’s received inspired me to contribute in whatever small way I could.

Our relationship with The Grand Appeal began with a small donation. Bristol Rovers F.C. generously gave our team a signed shirt after we partnered with the organisation. While we considered putting it up on our office walls, we knew this gift could have a
bigger impact elsewhere. So, we contacted the Grand Appeal to see if there were any young Rovers fans on the ward. There was in fact a big Gashead in the ranks, Jaye.
This year, we didn’t have any jerseys to donate, so we opted to get the beautiful Grand Appeal Christmas cards instead of designing our own. The money we usually spend on producing these was put towards fulfilling the wish-lists of children undergoing treatment this Christmas. A much better use for it, in my opinion!
We also changed our email footers, posted on social media and wrote this blog. Because every little helps to build awareness about this brilliant charity.
Moving forwards, we will keep finding ways to live out our value of being responsible and doing what’s right for the people around us.
How you can get involved
You can still donate to the new facility here, and you can learn all about the work the Grand Appeal does on its website. I would encourage you to head over there and see the ongoing impact it has. From funding life-saving equipment to research into paediatric healthcare approaches, you can see exactly how transformative your donation could be.
